![]() I might get 3 crashes a week with resolve, while i get at least 5 every day in adobe. Fusion does this pretty well in resolve, but not all codecs are supported so some of my assets dont work without transcoding to prores or dnxhr first.Īnd some i do miss some of the tools in after effects like puppet warp, liquify and rotobrush.īut resolve is much more stable, i still get a bunch of crashes when working in adobe that i simply dont get in resolve. mainly they have better support for working with transparency files, both video and still images. But this happens once or maybe twice a year.Īll in all I'm extremely happy with resolve, but there are a few things i miss about adobe. I sometimes have to borrow an adobe license from someone in my network if i have a client with premade adobe graphics assets, or I'm doing a google earth to after effect type of work. I'm a freelance corporate filmmaker, so that wasn't a switch i made lightly.īut i found resolve to be much faster to edit with, especially because it's much more stable, and at the time premiere didn't even have hardware accelerated decoding for h264 so i was forced to work with proxies.Īlso its just made financial sense when covid hit and i lost all my projects over night, the annual adobe license was coming up and having to pay $800 every year was really annoying. I did the exact opposite switch, I used adobe for over a decade and switched to resolve full time. I'll work for you for free!
